I've posted my corrected traffic number for last weekend from Google Analytics. http://www.planetmike.com/journal/2007/08/05/traffic-analysis-from-blogathon-weekend/ I wonder if it is possible that somehow the Blogathon overloaded the GA system? A few hundred people surfing to a few hundred web sites every half hour for 24 hours? I hope the system isn't that unreliable.

More anecdotal evidence of a problem at Analytics over the weekend: My Google Adsense impressions on Saturday were almost double what they were on Friday. And Sunday's were 50% higher than Friday's.

I took part in Blogathon on Saturday, and my site traffic was through the roof. But according to my Google analytics report, my traffic was down 25% on Saturday , and down 80% on Sunday. Ridiculous. I'm glad I use my own system for tracking my traffic numbers. And a great example why you shouldn't out source parts of your web site.
