Common grammar (Ab)usage

It appears we’ve been listed by the good people across the great pond at the Guardian Limited. Which has me as giddy as a school girl, and as nervous a chihuahua at a pit-bull convention.

I say this only because I have in the past been reminded of George Bernard Shaw’s famous quote: “England and America are two countries divided by a common language.” It’s usually a nice little note from one of our Isle-born cousins pointing out a poorly presented proverb as part of some carelessly crafted confabulation.

Regardless, as we in the U.S. of A. are on the eve of celebrating our little misunderstanding, I would like to offer up the following link. It is especially targeted at those of us running church web sites here in the States who have been dumbed-down by our public school system:

“Some Common Grammar and Usage Mistakes in Undergraduate Philosophy Papers.”

Its impotant as these are not never very unique to pages upon the States!
