Just a quick greetings for anyone who’s visiting via today’s blurb about this site over the FlashNews - Wireless Flash News Service. If you’re interested, here is my current-and-quasi-official press release.
Was I quoted out of context. NO ?! Did the interviewer get it right? YES … well … almost … two minor points … well … maybe three.
- the sins of bad church web design aren’t exclusive to pastors, it includes the droves of volunteers who help make their organization look bad
- “Jesus Junk” … actually a term I apply to the trinkets I find in so many “Christian Book Stores” … but is certainly applicable to the use of “shiney objects” like spinning animated gifs and cursor trailers on church web sites
- the writer of the story was too kind, what I wish he would have written/quoted me as saying was
“Church webmasters appearently contract their addiction to Jesus Junk from watching too much TBN … as opposed to reading Os Guinness“
Okay, I can concede on that last point where their quote is better than mine … but still …
