Talk about a plank in my eye! Isn’t it ironic that while I’m judging others on their lack of clarity, that I need to explain my categories? Oh well, consider this an example of what not to do … or how about this … do what I say, not what I do ?-)
All kidding aside, one of my goals here is to point out the relevance of Biblical wisdom in all we do and say … including web-design. And with that, here is a quick rundown on the category titles …
- About HYCW – this of course is the obligatory administrivia about this site, legal mumbo-jumbo and junk like that.
- Links – these are links here and there on any variety of topics, all annotated with my wonderfully pithy remarks (yeah right).
- Luke 6:42 – this is where I get the phrase “plank (or log) in my eye.” Basically Jesus’ instruction to get one’s own house in order before “instructing others” as to the mess in theirs … we’ll see if we accumulate as many criticisms of my own work as of other sites
- Proverbs 13:13 – what you’ve been praying for, instruction and wisdom on how-to-do stuff.
- Proverbs 19:25 – critiques of other pages, hopefully done in a grace-filled and instructive manner. Usually presented to as an example of my systematic criteria set forth in my theology category
- Resource Filled – do not get drunk with animated gifs, but be filled with good code! These are extraordinary links that offer some very practical code snippets and/or tools … the criteria usually being, “is it something I use, or would use if I could afford it?“
- Theology – my systematic criteria to web AND software design
- Titus 2:7 – the antitheis of Proverbs 19:25 … good examples of good design implementation
Now go enjoy yourselves and God’s wonderful creation!
